Suspect nabbed in joint investigation between Niagara Regional Police and the FBI.
UPDATE - November 23rd:
Additional charges have been laid against King.
Investigators say King had been communicating with an underage person in Ogden, Utah.
In addition to the previous charges, he stands accused of the following crimes:
- Make Child Pornography
- Accessing Child Pornography
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Make Child Pornography Available
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order Regarding Children
He'll appear in court on February 6th, 2023.
ORIGINAL STORY - NOVEMBER 1ST
A Grimsby man has been arrested in connection to a child pornography investigation.
Niagara Regional Police say the investigation kicked off last month and was a joint effort between the NRP and the FBI.
Early this morning, a search warrant was conducted at a home in Grimsby.
31-year-old Jason Robert King of Grimsby was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Unlawfully Make Child Pornography Available
- Unlawfully Possess Child Pornography (2 counts)
- Unlawfully Make Child Pornography
- Personation to Avoid Arrest
- Public Mischief
- Fail to Comply with Prohibition Regarding Children (2 counts)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
