Kids in grades 4-6 asked to share what home means to them.
Habitat for Humanity is asking students in grades 4 to 6 to share what home means to them in a national writing contest.
Entries are now being accepted for the Meaning of Home contest.
Every local student who enters will earn a $10 donation for Habitat for Humanity Niagara.
Three grand prize winners will each receive a $30,000 grant for their local Habitat for Humanity, and nine runners up will get a $10,000 grant for their local chapter.
Since 2007, the Meaning of Home contest has raised over $1.7 million to build affordable housing in communities across Canada.
Last year, 12,000 entries were received.
Submissions are being accepted by mail or here until February 18th, 2022, and winners will be announced in June.
