New vaccine greenlit for people over six months old
Health Canada has approved a new COVID-19 vaccine.
Moderna's Spikevax XBB 1.5. shot has been greenlit for Canadians over the age of six months.
Health Canada recommends one dose for anyone aged five and older, one dose for children under four, and two shots for kids up to four years old who haven't been vaccinated against COVID-19.
The agency adds it's also considering Pfizer's Omicron XBB.1.5 shot for people aged 12 and older.
Canadians who haven't had a COVID-19 vaccine in the last six months are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and stay up to date with vaccinations.
