Hexo Corp had to destroy some of it's inventory, after discovering an unlicensed area in it's Beamsville cannabis facility.
Hexo bought the greenhouse from Newstrike Brands earlier this year.
Once the acquisition closed in July, Hexo found out that Block B was not fully licensed.
Officials say they immediately stopped all production and cultivation in the area and all of the inventory was placed on hold and destroyed.
The facility is empty today, after Hexo laid off 200 workers last month.
