UPDATE: No one was hurt after a massive fire at an industrial facility on Ormond Street South in Thorold.
The fire department got the call at around 7:00 p.m. last night.
Fire Chief Terry Dixon says they had about 44 firefighters on scene, and they tried to extinguish the flames from the inside at first.
"It was caught between an old existing flat roof and a cottage-style wood roof on top."
They extinguished the blaze from the outside in the end.
Dixon says the cause is undetermined at this time.
The damage estimate is between $70,000 and $80,000.
Officials are investigating after a large fire in Thorold.
