Charities and not-for-profit groups can still apply for funding, if they're interested in creating or expanding a community garden in St. Catharines.
The City will cover half of the eligible start up costs, but they have to apply before tomorrow's 4:00 p.m. deadline.
The money could help pay for lumber, soil, seeds, rain barrels and equipment.
But all projects have to be completed by October 31st.
The City has supported 17 community gardens over the past three years.
