Some sad news for fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Defenceman Börje Salming has died at the age of 71.
Salming, who was from Sweden, played for the Leafs from 1973 until 1989.
In a tweet, Leafs President Brendan Shanahan referred to Salming as "an icon with an unbreakable spirit and unquestioned toughness."
In 1997, Salming was voted as one of the 100 greatest players in NHL history.
The legendary defenceman had been battling ALS.
