The Town of Lincoln is warning its residents about a new phone scam where fraudsters pretend to be town officials.
They will tell you that you have a credit on your water bill and ask for your banking information.
Real town employees would never ask you to provide this information over the phone.
The town posted about this scam on its Twitter page yesterday in an attempt to warn residents.
