Several Niagara organizations will receive support from the 2021 Ontario budget.
This includes an investment to assist in the building of 64 new beds at Royal Rose Place in Welland.
The province has also pledged support for the new South Niagara Hospital, the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Redevelopment, and the Peace Bridge Public School in Fort Erie.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says these investments are good news for Niagara.
"The hard work and sacrifice of people of Niagara is helping us reach the day when the pandemic is behind us. Our government will continue to be there every step of the way to protect people's health and jobs. Working together, we will unleash the economic growth that is necessary for job creation, prosperity and a stronger province."
The province's spending plan includes $1 billion towards vaccines, $6.7 billion for measures related to the pandemic, and $2.3 billion for contact tracing.
