LONDON/WINDSOR - The man who was found guilty of killing a Muslim family in London will be sentenced today.
Four people were killed and a nine-year-old was seriously injured after the Afzaal family was hit by a truck back on June 6th, 2021.
A 23-year-old man was found guilty of four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder this past November. The trial took place in Windsor and it lasted 11 weeks.
A first-degree murder charge carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years, but the sentence could vary for an attempted murder charge. The judge is also expected to rule on whether the attack amounted to terrorism.
