Police say he made threats and barricaded himself in house
A 24-year old Welland man has been charged after an overnight stand off with police.
Officers were called just after midnight this morning, to the Highriver Trail and Waterleaf Trail area, to find out the man had made threats and barricaded himself in his house with a possible weapon.
At around 6:30 this morning, police arrested him without incident.
Nathan J. Boult is charged with possession of a weapon, and uttering threats.
He remains in custody with a bail hearing today.
