Suspect faces robbery and theft charges.
One person is facing charges following an armed robbery at a Niagara Falls convenience store.
Just before 11:30 Sunday night, police were called to the area of Dorchester Road and Thorold Stone Road.
Officers say a man entered the store and obtained a frozen drink before going to the counter.
The suspect pulled out a knife and demanded cash from an employee, who activated an alarm.
The suspect fled with only the drink, and the staff member wasn't hurt.
The suspect wasn't located in the area.
The next day, around 2:20 p.m., an officer found the suspect while in the Lundy's Lane and Drummond Road area on an unrelated matter.
The detective recognized the man from security camera footage, as he was wearing the same clothes.
An arrest was made, and a search of the suspect turned up stolen items from two nearby stores, valued at about $110.
Twenty-seven year old Mark James Adair of no fixed address was arrested and charged with robbery and two counts of theft under $5,000.
