A chaotic scene tonight in Niagara Falls concerning some aggressive dogs on the loose, leading to one being killed, and one man hurt.
Police were called late afternoon to the Thorold Stone and Kalar Road area, over reports of 3 dogs running around in traffic, and chasing pedestrians.
They learned one dog had bitten a man, he was treated for minor injuries.
Several cars were used, and people who tried to round the dogs up, one dog scratched and damaged an SUV.
Police add when they tried to control the large dogs, one aggressively went after an officer, who was pushed into traffic.
That officer shot and killed the dog, while the other two were eventually captured and returned to their owner.
Police add the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society is looking into the dog bite of the man, and any violations concerning the dogs being on the loose.
