The victim of the hit and run on the QEW in Beamsville has been identified.
Twenty-eight-year-old Adam Cherrie of St. Catharines was killed near Ontario Street.
Cherrie worked for Bolt Fences and Decks out of Welland.
Police say his vehicle broke down on the QEW early yesterday morning.
He got out of his vehicle and police say he may have been hit by several vehicles.
They are looking for anyone with information.
Police are also looking for a white commercial vehicle with its wheel caps missing.
A stretch of the Toronto-bound QEW was closed for about 10 hours yesterday for a police investigation.
