Do not approach, call 911 immediately
A warning from Niagara Regional police to be on the lookout for a man wanted on numerous charges including robbery, kidnapping and assault.
Police say it all started late Sunday night in the parking lot of the Embassy Suites on Fallsview Boulevard in Niagara Falls.
A man had left his SUV to check into the hotel, and while he did that, another unknown man jumped into the SUV and drove off.
Police say the suspect stopped in the parking lot, and forced a woman and young child in the SUV to get out, before speeding off. Fortunately they were not hurt.
Roughly an hour later, police found the stolen SUV, damaged, in the Baldwin Street and Hager Avenue area of Burlington. Police add the suspect stole another vehicle and fled the area.
Through the help of Halton police and Six Nations police, the NRP have identified the suspect as 38-year old Jason Stuart White.
He is Indigenous, with a medium build, dark hair, and was wearing a black coat, black sweater, and jeans. Police add he has ties to the Ohsweken area, and is wanted for robbery, 2 counts of kidnapping, assault, dangerous driving, and driving while disqualified.
Police stress if you see Jason White, do not approach him, but call 9-1-1 immediately.
