Niagara Health and Conmed Health Care Group are transitioning out of a management agreement for Oakwood Park Lodge.
Since December, the hospital has been providing management support to the Niagara Falls long-term care home, in response to a COVID-19 outbreak.
An action plan was coordinated between the hospital and staff in order to prevent further infections in the home.
The facility-wide outbreak was declared over on February 11th.
Currently, no staff members or residents have the virus.
While the transition is effective today, Niagara Health will remain in contact with staff at the home in order to provide necessary guidance.
