Marilyn Isabelle Walker's legacy will live on at Niagara College. The Marilyn I. Walker Centre of Excellence in Visual Arts and Technology officially opened at the Welland campus yesterday.
The third floor of the Simcoe building has been completely renovated for a new collaborative space, which includes a state-of-the-art video wall. It's phase one of the four-phase project.
Students will also be able to access new printers, 3D printers and a die cutting machine from a resource room in the future.
Walker was very passionate about the arts and the Niagara Region. She passed away in 2015 and set aside $1-million for Niagara College in her estate.
