Kids heading back to school in September will not be required to wear masks.
The Ministry of Education says masks will remain optional for students this fall.
A spokesperson for Education Minister Stephen Lecce says he's following the advice of the province's Chief Medical Officer of Health.
Schools will continue to offer rapid tests and masks upon request.
Mask mandates for most settings in Ontario, including classrooms, ended on March 21st.
At the end of July, Lecce announced extracurricular activities would run as normal when school returns in September.
He said COVID-19 protocols within school will remain the same as last spring.
