City rejects proposal to construct synthetic turf field at the park.
The City of Thorold has chosen not to sell McMillan Park to the DSBN.
The decision was made during a special council meeting last night.
The proposal was to construct a synthetic turf field at the park, while keeping existing amenities and the baseball diamon in their current spots.
It also would have required the existing splash pad, playground equipment and fencing to be moved to a different area of the park.
