The Canadian Dairy Commission has approved a 2.2 percent jump in farm gate milk prices.
Milk prices in Canada are expected to rise again next year.
The Canadian Dairy Commission says it has authorized a 2.2 percent increase in farm gate milk prices, effective February 1st, 2023.
This comes to just under an extra two cents a litre.
The commission says the hike is based on the rising cost of production.
Over the last year, farm gate milk prices have risen by about 10 cents a litre, after increases were approved in February and September.
The new prices will become official once approval has been received from provincial authorities.
