People waiting a long time cleared from waitlist
Some significant progress in getting more people connected to a doctor in Niagara.
Wainfleet Mayor Brian Grant joined Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff last week, announcing anyone waiting for a doctor on the Health Care Connect waitlist since before January of 2025 now has a doctor.
This list by Niagara Ontario Health team continues to add people, of which the Ontario government says as of June, there are now over 160 people.
The government adds this means Niagara has met the province's initial waitlist clearance requirement, ensuring people who have waited the longest for a doctor now have one.
