Marit Stiles to talk about the region's health care, including Welland long-term care home
The state of health care across the Niagara region has prompted Ontario NDP leader Marit Stiles to make a visit.
Her office tells us she'll be with local MPPs Jennie Stevens, Jeff Burch and Wayne Gates tomorrow, meeting with community partners, focusing on pressures on frontline health care providers, access to primary care and the impact of ongoing strain on long-term care.
It starts at 11am at the Quest Community Health Centre in St. Catharines with a roundtable, then at 3:30 they'll stop at the Welland Long-term care home, that's scheduled to close in June.
The end of the day is a meeting with recreation therapists of Ontario and Brock University recreation therapy program, at 5:30
