The Ontario NDP calling on the Ford Government to allow workers to take time off to get a vaccine without losing pay.
Party Leader Andrea Horwath is proposing allowing workers to take off three consecutive paid hours off work.
It’s similar to a clause in the Ontario Elections Act that allows workers the same time period to go to the polls.
Horwath noting yesterday "it would make it easy for folks, to take the burden off, to make sure people don’t have to worry about losing pay when they book their appointment to get vaccinated."
