It's official... a new hospice will be built beside the new South Niagara hospital.

Mayor Jim Diodati making the announcement this afternoon, unveiling the sign, and thanking many supporters including Empire Homes and Hotel Dieu Shaver.  "What an incredible day for Niagara Falls.... Millie's Place.  For the 1st time, a dedicated residential hospice will be located right here, in the City of Niagara Falls."

He adds this will be built with donations, and not taxes.

Stewart Branscombe of River Realty Foundation is also a partner, who's philanthropic work supported this effort.  The hospice will be named after his late mother, Mildred (Millie) Branscombe.
