In-class instruction resumes at Niagara College on Monday and the school is announcing new mask requirements.
Officials say after consulting with Public Health, and in the light of the spread of the new UK variant of COVID in Ontario, they will now require all staff and students to wear a medical grade facemask and eyewear in classes, labs and work spaces.
The school says outside of classes, when physical distancing of 2 metres is possible , a reusable fabric face mask is acceptable.
The college says it will provide staff and students with the enhanced PPE as soon as possible.
