Sparkling and dry Riesling take top honours
The winery stole the spotlight at this year’s All Canadian Wine Championships with the honour of Best Sparkling Wine of the Year.
Steve Gill, general manager of the College’s Learning Enterprises noting “This is not only a big win for our winemakers, faculty, staff and students at the Teaching Winery, but for the future of the wine industry as we continue to raise the bar for high-quality wine education.”
School officials say Balance Brut "bubbled" to the top of the list with a prestigious Best Sparkling Wine of the Year title and trophy along with a double gold medal in the Sparkling Wine Traditional Method category.
Also scoring a gold medal, the Teaching Winery's 2020 Balance Dry Riesling.
