Niagara Health Foundation received a $1-million donation from Alfredo and Mary Varalli
A $1-million donation to the It's Our Future campaign to help further growth of the new South Niagara hospital.
The Niagara Health Foundation is honouring Alfredo and Mary Varalli, for their contribution.
The foundation adds the nuclear medicine room of the diagnostic imaging department will be named after them.
Alfredo settled in Niagara Falls when he was 16, after immigrating from Italy.
His first business was a pizza and sub shop, and in 1965 bought Roman Cheese Products, building it into a successful business supplying Italian food nationwide today.
President of Niagara Health Lynn Guerriero says this donation will also help recruit needed healthcare workers.
