Niagara homeowners would have to pay more for waste collection, if the City of Niagara Falls goes off on it's own.
They would have to pay about $40 for waste pickup, which would also cover the Falls portion of the new waste collection contract.
The price is only $29 when you include Niagara Falls homeowners.
Niagara's Public Works Committee will look over a staff report Tuesday morning.
The recommendation is that Council decline the Niagara Falls request to provide it's own waste management services.
The new waste collection contract will be implemented on October 17, 2020.
It includes every-other-week garbage collection.
