Police have arrested a 27-year-old man from Niagara Falls after someone broke into the Bass Pro Shop in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Officers believe he smashed the window out a garage door Monday evening and forced his way into the store hours later.
He allegedly stole five firearms and other merchandise.
They also discovered that the Ford pickup truck he was driving had been reported stolen from a dealership in Toronto.
They found the stolen truck parked at a home in Niagara Falls, in the Dixon Street and Drummond Road area.
That’s when officers arrested the man and seized the truck.
Officers executed a search warrant and found all of the stolen items.
They also found other items they believe were stolen from a local chiropractor’s office last Tuesday.
The man is now facing 17 charges, including break and enter to steal a firearm and five counts of possession of a firearm obtained by crime.
