He picked up the $100,000 prize after playing Lotto 6/49 on Christmas Eve
It was an extra special Christmas for a Niagara Falls man.... he's just won the lottery.
Martin Wardrop just picked up a $100,000 prize after playing Lotto 6/49 Super Draw on Christmas Day.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says the railroad worker is an occasional player, buying tickets when the jackpot is high.
He stopped at Avondale on Kalar Road Christmas Eve en route to a family celebration, when he bought the ticket.
He says his wife and mother-in-law both double checked the ticket to make sure they won.
He plans to pay off some bills, invest, and have a family holiday, adding he never thought this would happen to him.
