The OLG has awarded the city $6,386,158 for hosting Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara
The City of Niagara Falls has received over $6 million from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
The OLG has made a first quarter payment of $6,386,158 to the city for hosting Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino Resort.
Communities that host casinos are given payments each quarter, and the amount is based on a formula applied across all gaming sites in Ontario.
"Host communities support important community programs and services and strengthen their local infrastructure with these gaming revenues," said Peter Bethlenfalvy, Minister of Finance. "These financial supports help fund the vital programs and services that residents can depend on for their future."
Niagara Falls has received $201,290,153 since its first casino opened in 1996.
