Niagara Falls residents are encouraged to participate in earth hour.
This Saturday at 8:30 PM, the City of Niagara Falls, the Park in the City Committee, and the Niagara Falls Illumination Board will mark Earth Hour by turning down non-essential lighting for one hour.
This includes lighting at City facilities and the nightly illumination of Niagara Falls.
Essential lighting such as street lighting will not be included.
