Will now report whether COVID patients are vaxed or not
Niagara Health serving notice it has started publicly reporting the vaccination status of admitted patients with COVID-19 currently in hospital.
Officials say to protect patients’ confidentiality they will only report on vaccination status when there are six or more admitted patients with COVID-19.
Niagara Health says the move is designed to reinforce the importance of full vaccinations to try and blunt the fourth wave and keep everyone safe.
Right now there are 7 people in hospital with COVID-19 in Niagara, 6 of those are unvaccinated.
