There's new angiography equipment at Marotta Family hospital, giving better images of heart health
The medical community has come a long way since the days of open heart surgery, to current angiography.
Niagara Health just opened a new state of the art angiography suite at the Marotta Family hospital, enhancing diagnostic and treatment of heart disease.
The hospital has used a range of procedures, including a catheter inserted into the wrist, moving through the arm, and into the heart to insert a stent, or whatever is needed.
Niagara Health says it now has a Phillips Azurion image system, giving doctors high-quality X-rays with exceptional precision.
This will help minimize radiation exposure, yet maintain image quality, and help patient recovery become smoother.
