The Marotta Family has pledged $10 million towards the building of the new South Niagara site
The Niagara Health Foundation has received the largest donation gift in its history.
The Marotta Family has pledged $10 million in support of the "It's Our Future" campaign.
The campaign is raising money to build the South Niagara Hospital.
Benny Marotta is a real estate developer who is the founder of Solmar Development Corporation.
He also co-founded Two Sisters Vineyards with his daughters.
Niagara Health says the atrium of the hospital will be named after the family.
"This historic gift from the Marotta family is a demonstration to our community's dedication, generosity and support towards the future of healthcare in Niagara. We are truly honoured to receive this support, which will help us make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our community." - Andrea Scott, President and CEO - Niagara Health Foundation
