Residents in the Extended Care Unit will no longer be allowed visitation.
Instead, they are being permitted to designate two Essential Caregivers to provide support.
Care may include emotional support or assistance with feeding, mobility or hygiene.
Caregivers will be required to wear a surgical mask and show proof of a negative COVID test within two weeks prior to the visit.
They will also be subject to a temperature check and screening at the door.
The ECU continues to encourage residents to connect with their friends and families via virtual visits.
