Niagara Region Public Health is working with local municipalities to safely open beaches this summer.
Officials are now monitoring the water for bacteria and the results will be posted online here starting Friday, June 26th.
Warnings will be issued for beaches with high levels of bacteria in the water.
This could lead to ear, eye, nose, throat or skin infections if you decide to go swimming.
You should visit your local municipality's website for information regarding beach openings and public access.
