The Niagara Region has big plans for Waste Reduction Week. Members of the public will be able to tour the Recycling Centre in Niagara Falls or the Walker Environmental Compost Facility in Thorold next week.
Both tours will be free, but you have to sign up before Friday. All you have to do is call the Region's Waste Info Line at 905-356-4141 or 1-800-594-5542.
The Region will have information booths set up; at Seaway Mall, the McBain Community Centre and the libraries in Niagara Falls and Grimsby.
The Region is also teaming up with the Grimsby Benevolent Fund and Goodwill Niagara, for a re-usable item drive.
If you donate a reusable item at the Niagara Road 12 Landfill or the Humberstone Landfill, you will be entered into a draw to win a $50 Visa gift card.
