No Job Cuts Coming: Niagara Health

It's also asking community leaders to share accurate information

Niagara Health confirming with our newsroom there are no new plans, or announcement, to layoff personal support workers or staff.

Yesterday, St. Catharines MPP Jennie Stevens stood in the Ontario legislature, saying more job losses were coming, on top of the nearly 100 announced last year.

However, Niagara Health says job losses are related to those previous announcements of 100 jobs, including the planned closure of the long-term care home in Welland.

While Niagara Health is working with its unions to ensure employee impact is minimal, it's also asking community leaders to ensure the information they share is accurate.
