It looks like Niagara's border crossings will not reopen to non-essential traffic anytime soon.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says there are no immediate plans to lift the border restrictions at this time.
He made the comments during an interview yesterday.
He said the U.S. is "not in a place where we would feel comfortable reopening those borders."
The border closed in March due to the pandemic and it has been extended several times since then.
The current deal is set to expire on Wednesday October 21st.
