Two drivers charged with impaired
Niagara police were out in full force today patrolling around school zones across Niagara to make sure the start of the school year was a safe one for students.
Police issued a total of 85 tickets and warnings.
Two drivers were arrested for impaired driving and two other drivers were charged with driving while under suspension
Forty-two of the tickets were for speeding, 2 for distracted driving, 2 for not properly wearing seat belts and one for passing a stopped school bus.
Fifteen tickets were issued for other traffic offences.
Police also issued 23 written warnings.
