Police say some of the vehicles were not locked, had keys and valuables inside
A warning from regional police they're seeing a jump in the number of stolen vehicles in West Niagara.
NRP say since late January officers in the Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln areas have responded to 14 calls. adding some of the thefts appear to be crimes of opportunity.
Four vehicles were not locked, had the keys inside, along with valuables.
Police add other vehicles stolen may have been targeted by organized crime.
Those crime groups may target specific SUV's, trucks, sport and luxury vehicles. On January 29th, three Ford F150 trucks were taken.
