Female ride-share driver attacked by armed customer
Niagara Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines.
Police say between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. yesterday, a female ride-share driver was sexually assaulted by an armed male customer.
The incident took place in a white Nissan Altima.
The victim suffered minor physical injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
While the involved male has been identified by police, no arrests have been made.
Investigators say there is no ongoing risk to public safety stemming from this incident.
