Police say thieves got into homes while people slept in Lincoln area
A number of suspects are being sought after 8 residential break and enters in Grimsby and Beamsville.
Police say the crimes happened between 1 and 5 in the morning, early Wednesday.
Thieves got in the homes while people were sleeping through unlocked exterior doors, and attached garages.
Police add personal items including ID and credit cards were taken, and they determined some of the stolen credit cards were later used in Hamilton.
The break and enters happened in the Olive Street and Princess Boulevard areas of Grimsby, and in Beamsville on Lincoln Avenue, Northgate Crescent, and Frances Crescent.
Police say they have not finished determining damage and loss estimates yet.
They're also asking for any homeowners or businesses who have video footage of the areas to call them.
