It’s finally going to happen, New York state legislators have come to an agreement to legalize marijuana
Governor Andrew Cuomo who made legalizing pot a priority says it’s not just about the money it will bring to the economy, it's also about justice for marginalized communities and the people in them who have been unfairly penalized for the use and sale of cannabis.
Cuomo estimates the sale of weed will generate about 350 million in revenue for the state.
The official vote on the bill is expected in the coming days.
