Officers to be Laid to Rest Today

The private funeral will make its way through Barrie

It'll be a sombre day as a private funeral is held in Barrie for two police officers killed last week in a shooting.

Constables Morgan Russell and Devon Northrup were shot while responding to a call about a disturbance in an Innisfil home.

The South Simcoe Police Service says the officers' families, officials, and police officers from various forces are expected to attend.

You can watch the service online after the formal procession makes its way through Barrie.
