People in Niagara and across the rest of the province will be able to take health and safety training online for free.
Premier Doug Ford says it will be offered through Employment Ontario.
“This training will give employers the confidence that they’re hiring someone who knows how to create and maintain a safe workplace for customers and other employees.”
It’s a $3 million investment from the province.
Ford also spoke briefly about the next stage of re-opening today.
He says stage three is currently before a committee and health officials will have the final say before anything happens.
“Since it's going to be the last stage, we want to make sure our T’s are crossed and our I’s are dotted and make sure everyone is safe.”
Ford also took a moment to thank the Canadian Armed Forces today, as they complete their mission in our long-term care homes.
