The province says it could be up to four months
A spokeswoman for Health Minister Christine Elliot says the change will allow them to accelerate the province's immunization effort.
The decision was made on the advise of the National Advisory Committee on Immunization which recommended yesterday that province's extend the interval between the first and second doses of a COVID-19 vaccine in order to inoculate more of the adult population.
The committee recommends extending the wait from six weeks up to four months.
