Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff is speaking out on continued job action by the teachers' unions.
The Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education says students across the province are being hurt by the withdrawal of services and loss of classroom time.
Oosterhoff says the government is focused on reaching deals that protect our children's future, invest in their potential and keep them in the classroom.
He says the priority is to invest in Ontario's students, not compensation.
Meanwhile, some public elementary teachers will protest outside a speech in Toronto from Ontario's Education Minister.
All of Ontario's teachers' unions are in contract talks with the government, which have led to escalating job action from each of them.
