Ontario Premier Doug Ford has confirmed that 45,000 seniors have booked a COVID-19 vaccination since the online portal opened this morning.
Seniors aged 80 and older now have the ability to book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination by either calling 1-888-999-6488 or clicking here.
The Premier also says that the telephone line is booking approximately 375 people a minute.
Ford also says that while the province has the capacity for 4.8 million vaccines, there is currently only enough supply for 1.4 million doses.
He is calling on the federal government to increase supply to the province.
"The infrastructure is in place, but we need the reliable supply to match our increasing capacity to deliver."
